Reference to my application, may I request you to help me understand what's going on:
Appl. submitted in Buffalo: Apr 2002
Letter Recvd in Dec 2003 as follows:
The Buffalo Regional Program Centre has now completed the initial analysis
of your application. We have determined that a personal interview with a
visa officer is required and will take place at The Canadian Consulate General in New York.
2. The interview queue: We have placed your file in queue awaiting
transfer. We will notify you when your file is transferred. Once we have
transferred your file, the interviewing office will send you a letter to
advise you of the date and time of the interview. You will receive this
letter approximately 2 months prior to the interview date.
3. Additional Information required: (none of the check boxes are checked ):
(Check Boxes
1. No Additional information is required.
2. There are incomplete sections on your application. Further processing
of your application has been suspended until we receive the information
indicated below: (check boxes - none are checked)
a. complete the enclosed Background Information Form
b. Complete the enclosed application forms ________________
4. Medical Information: Immigration medical forms and instructions are
included with this letter. You should arrange to have your medical
examination promptly after you receive your interview date.
My Questions:
1. How long will it take to get interview date and file transfer ?
2. In item 3, none of the check boxes are checked. There are no forms
enclosed with the letter also. What does this mean ?
3. There were no medical forms enclosed with the letter like they have
mentioned in item 4. ? Do I ask them to send me the medical forms ?
4. Is it necessary to do the medicals before interview ?
May I please request your advice.
1. approx 3 months for transfer and 6-9 months after that for interview
2. none checked means they don't need any further info/doc from you [good sign]
3. wait for them to send medical instructns
4. wait for instructions

Thanks Mr. Masood for your info. I am on H1B in USA which expires early 2005. 3 Months + 9 Months means I will be in neck to neck situation. Is there anything I can do to explain my situation to expedite the interview ?
