Hello Ali Shabbir
Muslims are dispersed throughout the GTA. In terms of the Shia community specifically, there is a huge concentration of Iranis in North York and Thornhill on either side of Steeles Avenue. There is a large Shia Mosque on Bayview Avenue, north of Steeles, which is the biggest mosque for the Shia community in Toronto. There are also large numbers of Shia sub-sects such as Bohras and Ismailis and they have their own mosques and jamaatkhanas, respectively.

All the best

Hi....freakoutguy, Thanks for your info...
Big Vee, I did not label myself I just asked a simple question... anyway lets not make this personal or a big issue... Soo I'll be also a Canadian desi, how about that...
take care, ali.
This Comment is for BIG VEE and DESI RAJA that Mr.Ali Shabbir was just asking a question about a specific community so that he could feel at home with his family and be easily absorbed in a new environment. Its not a crime nor an offense to do so.I see here several posts where folks even ask where they could get vegetarian desi food why doesnt anybody makes fun of that....He might be asking it for several reasons.it might be for his place of worship,to intoureract with his community or to purchase something particularly for his faith and belief. You guys should be ashamed of yourself that instead of making this forum more friendlier and welcome everybody with open arms despite of his race or religion you make fun of people. If we want to make this world a better place we have to learn to accept people and their beliefs .I think you guys made a fool of yourselves by posting such a remark that shows your lack of knowledge and your intolerance to other races and religion.
