North York, Toronto - Need advice on nice apartment

Hello all,

I am planning to move to North York, Toronto from USA in Jan 2011.

Can you please suggest a nice apartment complex to rent a 1BHK?

- Should have a big grocery store near by
- Should be closer to the train stations
- Should be closer to the good hospitals.

Check out the intersection of Don Mills Rd / Sheppard, specifically, Parkway Forest Drive & Forest Manor Road.

Grocery store - right across
Train Station - 3 minute walk (if you run

)
North York General Hospital - about 2 kms
Elementary School - on site

The rental co. is Metro Capital. Google them up.

I can vouch for the area, lived there 7 years

Met Cap Living has many buildings in the Parkway forest area, very close to Don Mills subway station. You can search for "80 Forest manor road" opposite to Don Mills stn.

We looked at many apartments from Met Cap Living in & around Parkway forest area but didn't like as much as we liked the apartments on Don Mills, just north of Sheppard. Look at the apartments on Leith hill roard, Esterbooke Avenue ...

Those apartments are a bit expensive than Met Cap but are much better...

Can you please let me know the average rent around this area for a 1BHK?

Do they include parking spot (for car) also? If not, how much do they charge?

Parking is always excluded. It should be around $60 / month for outdoor.

Read in a site that Willowdale is also nice residential area. Any suggestions for apartments in that area?
