I have seen the posts here regarding sponsoring spouse and child etc, but couldn't see the post regarding somebody sponsoring parents while living outside Canada.
Anybody have any information about this?
I am living in USA on TN status (soon will go to GC process).
Couldn't figure out which guide should I follow to start the process to sponsor my parents and my younger brother (he is full time student and 22 years old, he will finish his graduation next year. Of course he will start his masters so he will be count as a full time student during the processing time).
There is no phone # to call CIC from USA and their website is advising to call the local consulate.
Can someone guide me please, or anyone who sponsored his/her parents while living outside Canada can share their experience?
Will appreciate your feedbacks.

Regards,
You cannot sponsor family while living outside Canada.
Exceptions - as a Cdn citizen, you can sponsor a dependent child (that has no dependent child of his/her own) and spouse/common law partner/conjugal partner. You have to live in Canada at the time when any of the above becomes a PR.

Does it means that while Canadian Citizen living outside canada he can proceed the sponsorship case to start but must move inside canada at the time when sponsored people will land.
If thats correct which guide?
thanks once again.

Regards,
The way it is worded, the guide says that you can only sponsor a child or a spouse while living outside of Canada, no one else.
For everyone else, you should be currently living in Canada.
All these are for Cdn citizens. PRs cannot sponsor while living outside, period.
