Hello,
I posted belwo query to Mr. Masood, but did not get any feedback, and ehnce now I am posting it in this section.
My son ( less than 3 years old) entered Canada on a temporary resident permit. I applied for his Permanent residence after arriving in Canada this year, and his PR application was processed from Buffalo.
Now, my son's PR has been processed and we have received his visa and landing papers. It seems that now my son has to leave the country, and make a landing from any Canadian border.
Do we need US visa to do a Flag pole process (i.e exit and re-enter Canada at US border). Has anyone done this earlier, can please advice the procedure.
Regards
Chetan
No, US visa is not required for this procedure. You can go to any Canada-US border and go to US border officers and let them know that you're there for landing purpose. They will give you a slip which specify that you're rejected at US border (They don't stamp anything on passport). You can bring that slip back to US.
Though problem could be if you're not having a US visa as you're already landed.
Thanks for replying. In fact, it was only yesterday I finished this process at the Queenston bridge border. NO US visa was required.
Although it took lot of waiting (anout 2 hours), there was no problem. We were given a paper saying that we were not allowed to travel to US. This paper was submitted to the Canadiam immigration
Cheers
