Hi,
I have submitted the Sponsorship Application for my mother in February of this year, and I think this process will take around 25-30 months.
My question is if my mother applies for the visitor visa in next month, can she get it?
She will mention in form IMM5257B’s 12-e section that I have applied for her sponsorship. And what else she can write to make her case stronger to get visitor visa?
Thanks,
Anurag
Regarding question 12(e) in IMM 5257, she has to say NO as she has not applied Applied for any Canadian Immigration visas
(e.g. Permanent Resident, Student, Worker, Temporary Resident (visitor), Temporary Resident Permit)
You have filed an application to sponsor her . Only after you are approved as sponsor, she would be filing an application for PR status in Canada.
Hope that it clarifies your doubt on this point.
Thanks for your reply.
I have one more question:
Does she has to submit "TEMPORARY RESIDENT VISA CHECKLIST" also with the Visitor Visa Application or it is just for our use of reference?
Thanks,
Anurag
The Check-list must also be included with the application. She must put 'X' against each document she is submitting, as per the Check List.
This not only looks more professional but also assists the processing officer to check the completeness of the application.
Best wishes
this question is for pkalra
you mentioned in your reply that under section 12 e she has to mention no since she has not applied.
but dont you think the question is that Have you or any of your family member applied a visa for you.
i think should be yes coz even am applying for my moms visit visa and she is been sponsored and my consultant told me that i shd say yes..
