Hi Mr Masood,
I recently got back to India after a years full time study on a student visa in Vancouver, I have received a full time job offer from an established company in Vancouver after I finished my education and am supposed to start work in December as per the employment contract. I received the job offer on the basis that I have my landing papers/PR visa and only need to land in Canada to start work.
My situation is that I am a dependent on my wife's application for immigration to Canada and my wife will not be able to land in Canada till January 2005 due to family issues. My company's immigration expert has seen my landing papers/visa and suggest's that I can travel ahead of my wife and start work in December since we have independent landing papers, visa's and passports.
Would the immigration officers allow a dependant entry first into Canada based on a valid employment offer. Can I land alone with letters from my wife (Principal applicant) and Employer addressed to immigration stating the situation and need for me to start work in December. Also If I were refused entry upon arrival in Canada, could that affect our imiigration in any way even though we have our Landing papers and visa's...
Any help would be appreciated.

The immigration expert is wrong. You cannot land before the principal applicant. You can come to Canada before her only if you have a work permit.
