you can see where in the GTA area desis are concentrated, by clicking the link below.

Please wait about 30 sec for page to load. It has to load about 200 nodes.

http://www.canadiandesi.com/maplistings.php?type=shop&CID=1&country=Canada&level1=1&province=Ontario&level2=18&city=&metro=Toronto&level3=

BTW, I was working on improving navigation of yellow-pages, classifieds etc and found this interesting result, so thought let me share with you guys.

Etobicoke do have quite a few stores - mostly concentrated in one area as per http://www.canadiandesi.com/maplistings.php?type=shop&CID=1&country=Canada&level1=1&province=Ontario&level2=18&city=Etobicoke&metro=&level3=

The results are a bit flawed.
I live in Etobicoke and near the lake (Near Hwy. 427 and the lake). When i see the map, I see a store near the lake. When i saw the name of the store, I find it to be West Indian Store. We donot get Indian products in a West Indian Store. A sri Lankan store is more Indian SInce we get Groceries, Masala's , fish, Tamil and possibly Indian movies. A Sri Lankan store (Gajanth Groceries) is in Jane and Lawrence. In the same spot is a Gujarathi shop known as Ganesh stores dispensing Groceries and Bolly wood movies. Just near this is Asian foods, A Banagaladeshi store dispensing Indian groceries and Bollywood movies. All the 3 stores are missing from your list. These are just the stores that i know and use in that area.
To conclude, your map is not an exaustive list of stores present in that area.

We never said it is a comprehensive list. We have yellow-pages and businesses are listed by users. There might be many more businesses missing. You may talk to the business owner that his/her business is missing in the 170+ indian grocery store listings from GTA on CanadianDesi. Alternatively some listed businesses might be out of business and they do not bother to inform. I will add a functionality that allows user to report a non-functioning business listing.

I agree, Sri Lankan grocery stores are also useful, as you get more tamilian items there.
