I am a loyal Bell Sympatico customer and has been one for a very long time. There used to be maximum limits on upload or download but now there are none. I like the service though have not tried anything else.

The things that irk me the most are (a) the monthly modem rental charges and (b) monthly charges for anti-virus, firewall and anti-spyware services. The (a) is mandatory while (b) is optional but in my view very much essential. Another drawback of the Sympatico is that one gets tied to the Bell phone and cannot take advantage of newer services like VoIP.

When I brought these 'drawbacks' to the attention of one of the telephone supervisors at Bell Sympatico, he promptly offered both (a) and (b) free for six months. Six months are coming to an end next month. I hope another phone call would bring relief for additional six months.

Bell sympatico is charging $29.95 flat for the same service
I recetly switched from Bell Sumpatico to Videotron and so far speed is OK and upload and download limit is IGB per month
