Thank you so much Massood ji, for your resourceful and prompt reply.
Take care,
Dear AnilKG,
Thank you for the lead. I am eager to get the contact of that student who is enrolled in UoT, from 2003 batch. Its very urgent, as I need to collect some information regarding the grad studies admission. I would appreciate if you can forward his/her contact to me.
I checked the registered users on the group and found Marut Singh, whom I know from IITD Civil and 2003 passout. If he is the one, please share with me his contact. Or please ask me to write to me at It would be really helpful. Thanks a lot.
Waiting for your reply,
Ateet

2. The other option is to get married in Canada (registered) aftering landing up in the School. How does our marriage in Canada as students affect our legal status/visa (immigration point of view)?
- DOESN'T AFFECT ANYTHING. YOU CAN GET MARRIED IN CANADA.
Dear Massoodji,
My only concern in the above case (couple on study permit and wanting to get married in Canada) is -
Whether one can get married immediately after landing in Canada OR there is some restriction in terms of the minimum time one must have spent in Canada before going for registration?
Please forgive my question if my doubt is too naive!
Thanks a lot for your guidance..
Best Regards,
There is no time restriction or requirement.

Hi All,
Thank u all of you'll for ur valuable replies and suggestions to my previous questions. However I have a few more queries. Hoping to get the same response as i got last time.
1) since i plan to go to canada to study along with my husband who would be applying as a dependent. How easy is it for him to get a visa as a dependent.
2) What would be advisable that we apply together for visa or we apply for him once i get my visa. How long would it take for him to get a dependent visa in such a case.
3) In case he goes along with me as a dependent, can he work there part-time or full-time.
Thanking you'll in advance,
Regards,
svindia
Dear Massoodji,
Me and my fiance came to Canada in 2012 on study permit. I am working now and have PG work permit expiring in Nov 2014. However, my fiance is in school under 2 year program which will end by August 2014. We expect him to get 3 yr PG work permit in Sep 2014.
1. We wish to marry in 2014 before my work permit expires. Should be marry before my husband's PG work permit application? what will be right time to get married according to you?
2. Can I get open work permit again based on my husband's PG work permit?
3. How will our marriage affect our PR appication down the lane? Will I be eligible to apply for PR in Ontario under CEC category if I get open work permit based on my husband's PG work visa?
Your help is much appreciated.
Thanks
