To where???? Or do you need suggestions regarding the destinations? If yes, you might want to go to Ottawa/Thousand Islands....

Best time to travel is in summer, for sure. But since you already have plans to travel in April, I thought I should suggest Thousand Islands - it is just 1 hr drive from Ottawa.

Parliament Hill is a very nice and lively place to visit. Parliament building tours are offered too. Ottawa downtown is very beautiful. I think cdn mint is nearby too. Accomodations near downtown are reasonably priced.

If not Ottawa, Montreal is doable too...visit Notre Dame Bassilica there - very nice piece of architecture. FYI: Celine Dion's son was baptised there. Also, Montreal's botanical garden is very good. It is right opposite to the Olympic Stadium (another place to visit).

What are the places in Ottawa and Montreal worth seeing?

How long would one need in each place?

Also, is Thousand Islands on the way to Ottawa?
