Hi Fido,

We took the overnight bus last year and it was not bad....It would be crazy busy over the long weekend with long lineups.

In our case atleast, the driver was not aware of any specific places for food/break which are open 24 hours on the way so had to take exit couple of times before finally finding something :)..

Thanks MeagainMe ... Amongst the buses they have a few option - Greyhound , Megabus & the 'premium' Neon service .... Which of these did you travel on OR would recommend ...

Alternatively a colleague has suggested - driving to Buffalo & then flying to Newark which can be time & cost saving not to mention less exerting ....

Can anyone know about transit cost from new island to downtown or NJ to downtown. I am comparing the cost of staying in hotel which is nearer to downtown with hotel in new island area.
I am getting around $30 to $40 difference between them.
I am not sure whether same transit which is in downtown is available for new island to downtown area. If it is extra cost then I think it is worth to spend $30 - $40 more per night in hotel which is nearer to downtown area.

Also any information related to indian food and entry fees will be helpful to decide budget.

Fido,

We took Neon bus but I believe those all more or less same as far as cost/comfort is concerned.
