I have been driving in Dubai for 8 years (and abu dhabi for the last 2 years).

What does a G2 test entail? Is it difficult for some one who is a pretty safe driver?

Here people maintain speed limits and this thing is checked in the Test. Be aware.

Just an update,

you were absolutely correct. The G test was a breeze, only I found it difficult to maintain the speed limit and had to consciously focus on driving s l o w l y.

Hey,

Not only slowly, but within appropiate speed limit with sign boards. B'cos if you too slow compare to signboard that even leads you to fail in test.

I recently got My G lic. 3 days ago, I given 2nd try and passed, first time they failed me due to high speed, my speed was 110km/hr on highway and signboard was 100km/hr.

make sure your speed limits and try to control speed on highway and even in city.

In Gulf there s no much emphasis on speed limits hence people develop a tendency to drive fast . Here even when the road is empty , you have to be conscious to maintain speed limits . Something which Gulfies have to get used to.
