Hello folks,I am very new to this CD so my apologies for repeating the question.
We have been in Canada for last 9 years and are not canadian citizen. I would like to invite my brother who is 22 years old. what is the procedure? Is graduation mandatory? He is working in IT field and doing graduation correspondece.
Can some one throw some light on how and what should I do to get started?
Many thanks
Dolly
When you say you wish to invite your brother, I assume it is for visiting purposes only.
In that case, you have to provide an invitation letter stating the duration for which he will stay, where he will stay and who will be providing travel and living expenses (I assume you will).
In addition, you have to provide proof of your Canadian permanent residency (i.e. PR card, etc.), the fact that you are actually living in Canada (rental agreement or home ownership documents), latest bank statements and preferably a current job letter.
This topic has been covered in "Charcha" several times before, so please use the Search in Charcha feature to look for other replies and samples, etc.
Good luck.
