Hi,
I have a big confusion about counting of days for getting citizenship or renewal of PR.
Do I have to stay continously for two years (means I can't got out of canada even if I have emergency)
Do I have to stay contiounsly for three years (means I can't got out of canada even if I have emergency)
I have been in canada for two months a year back, will that days be counted ?
Thanks a lot ...
Many Reagrds,
Baliyan
FOR PR you have to live in Canda for 2 years out of 5 ( 730 days out of 1825).
For Citizen ship you need to be in canda for 3 in say you came to canda in 2007 , you need to be in canda for 3 years b/w 2007-2011 in order to get citizen.
Thanks Tiger,
That means living continous is not required .at the end of day in five year you should have total required days even if some are in first year and some in second etc.
thanks again
baliyan
Contineous living is requirement for Citizenship not for PR renewal.

Hi raj canada/ tigercanada
If I manage to enter at Port Of Entry when I am short of few weeks to complete 2 years stay out of 5 years, can I continue without renewing my PR card till I complete the days required number of days (730 days in 5 years) and then apply for renewal of PR Card?
Please don't scold me telling that 'I am trying to cheat Candian Govt' or
'If you are unable to stay in Canada for 2 years out of 5 years, why you got immigration etc. etc......
I just to want to know , that's it. Please share your experience.
