One of my friend is working in Manitoba for 6 months on contract. He has a wife and a little baby with him.

Does anyone know someone who would be able to rent out their basement or some sort of accomadation for 6 months?

Any Indian/Tamil Grocery stores or restaurants near by?

They're in Winnipeg, Manitoba R3C 0C4

Any help would be much appreciated

Your best bet is to check out local newspapers and classified for ads.
If he's already in Winnipeg, he should have access to those resources.

try Holiday Towers at 160 Hargrave St - (204) 957-1200 in downtown. They usually rent out for 12 months but you could bargain for 6 with a bit of extra rent or ask if there is any sub-lease - should'nt be that hard. You could also rent a furnished apt.

all conveniences are close to Holiday Towers including the PATH - no need to walk outside in -30 C weather
