Hi all,
I was just wondering if anybody have travelled/toured interstate within Canada using Trans Canada Hwy i.e from Ontario to BC or AB or QC or viceversa, I would like to know the experiences, comments, any suggestions, guidelines or even websites which gives me more information abt this Transcanadian hwy.
I am planning to relocate from Toronto to Vancouver driving all the way, I even know this wuld be a pain in the ass, but hoping to have fun as well. So its important to get information like how often is service station, road conditions, hotels/motels, etc

Become a PLUS member of CAA - its worth the money. CAA associate would help you plan your drive, provide all maps/guides & hotel info. As a member, you also get 10-15% off in CAA approved hotels/restaurants/etc.
Drive safe & Good Luck
I drove from Okanagan BC, to Guelph ON in February of 2006. Winter, -30 in Alberta and Sask. I was the only driver with my wife and son. We had no problem then. I drove 10 hr every day, as the days were smaller in Feb. Start off 6 in the morning, with light breakfast. No lunch (important?), lots of Jo-to-GO. I averaged 1000 KM a day, we got here 5th day evening. If you stop for sight seeing add extra days for that. Overall, it was fun. One car, total expense, $800.
Ya, Thanx for the information. Infact I am a member of Canadian tire and have to request trip plans and informations.
As Ranin said, I assume that the driving is smooth enough and culd drive abt 10hrs a day without much strain. Thanx for this info as well.
I have done it and I enjoyed it.
