I have a confirmed job offer in Edmonton and I will start my employment after arrival.
Do I still have to show proof of funds at the immigration???
For the SIN card application, which address should I put on the form -(i read on this forum that SIN takes 3 weeks,by which time i would have moved out from the company provided accomodation-(For the first 10 days,my employer will provide accomodation free)????
Please advise.

SOCIAL INSURANCE NO. IS ISSUED ON THE DAY ONE IN A PRINTOUT FORMAT. THE CARD COMES THROUGH MAIL. USE YOUR OFFICE ADDRESS OR THE ADDRESS WHERE YOU WOULD BE ACCEPTING THE PR CARD
Please advise.

There is no pleasure in having nothing to do; The fun is in having lots to do and not doing it.
Thanks for your guidance.
Some more queries:
My status is as a Temporary Resident Visa with a Work permit for 1 year.
Can i change my status to PR after staying in Canada for 1 year.
Thank you
Hello ksps
As it is many blame that canadian immigration system is the easiest thatz why many get thru.If it would have been so easy(as you said) then.....uuufff!
There is a lengthy immigration procedure to get permanent residency in canada.
You can start it here http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/index.asp
As you are already in canada with a job it would be easier compared to others who apply from outside canada without a job in hand.
SO I WOULD LIKE TO WISH YOU ALL THE VERY BEST
cheers
panna
