I see a lot of FREE Desi Newspapers available at desi restaurants, bazaars etc.

New papers are launched frequently. Wonder what the business model is? Is it because CDs are not Internet/Tech savvy?

Not worth it imo. Too much effort and you only make money by selling ad space.
Thoogh it is easier now to sell ad space than before as many mainstream people want to target South Asian market like Future Shop, Super Store, P.C. .
