I landed in may 2011, I don`t have a last name but I want to add one which is in my maiden name. can I apply now or I have to wait for a year before applying

We recently made Legal name change for my wife (including spelling change) since her First name and Surname was in reverse order on all the docs as it was reverse on the passport. Below is the Procedure we went throught and it was quite fast.

We applied for Legal name change- Cost CAD.137 and 4 weeks
Next step we applied for name change in SIN/OHIP/Drivers License (all free and done in one day)
We did not change in the PR since as we understand it is not necessary until next renewal or Citizenship.

I would like to change my last name to my husband's last name.
From all the given posts here, I understand that changing name on Indian passport, license, ohip and sin is easy.
My concern is changing my name on PR card. Do I need to apply a new PR card for this change? How much time the process can take?
