How 2 play DVDRip movie??

I have downloaded an english movie from internet.. this is a DVDRip format.. how do I play it??

I feel that this was an .avi format but they have compressed it to DVDRip..
Can anyone suggest how do I change DVDRip format to .avi or any otherplayable format, or can i play DVDRip directly??

Also, I donot but to spoil a blank DVD to burn DVDRip onto a DVD..

Just download VLC media player online ( its Free)

Then play your movie using thsi software (by doing right click)

Normally size of this movie is 690-700 MB

So make a folder of 3-4 movies & then burn one DVD

I usually do this

What is extension of File? DVDrip means the DVD is ripped to another file. It may be AVI or MP4 etc. MP4 will work with quichtime player. My downladed DVD rip movies usually work with window media player.

Thanks for the quick replies, But my problem is not yet solved.

The movies that I downloaded are AVI format but converted into DvDRip (other one is DVDRIP) I donot know wheter these capital or small letters make any difference.

This is a file on my harddisk now, I donot want toput it on DVD and files are 709MB and 703MB.

I tried VLC Media Player, It does not work. it does not play any files except DivX files.

How do I configure VLC media player??

It could be an ISO, in which case you have 2 options:

1. Burn it on DVD/CD
1. Get a utility that can read an ISO and extract the files on your computer

Out of curiosity, why don't you want to put it on a DVD. Worst case you loose 20cents & may be some time.
