I read from the paper (desi weekly's) that the restaurant Amma had opened up at Dundas and Dixie intersection in Mississauga. It is part of a very famous south indian restaurant chain. The name is derived from MGR's mother who is known as Amma and the advertisement shows MGR seated by the side of CN Annadurai (the most famous chief minister of TN) who is eating by his hand.
It was mentioned in the weekly that they have Lunch Buffet, 5 days a week.
I hope it has not been started by another person who is in no way connected to Tamilnadu and who is looking to cash in the brand name. (B'cos even the advt. reads South Indian, North Indian and Hakkah Cusine)
Has any tried this restaurant? Who are the people running the restaurant? Is it worth a trip?
Answers much appriciated.

We tried couple of dishes (hakka chowmein, soup, manchurian, dosa etc) and didn't like it. We like typical Indian style hakka food, Amma's food was too mild for us and there was no sauce/vinegar on the table so we asked for it. Beleive me, he gave us a spoon of ketchup in a katori. Must say, the customer service is nice, they asked us several times if everything is ok. We will try their buffet some time but are not going back otherwise.
I went Amma couple of times, within a span of 10 days. Both the times i ordered Fish Thali and my friend ordered chicken thali and mutton thali. They are providing 2 veg curries, 2 gravies, 1 curd, 1 pappadam( NO Dessert, No Roti).
The food definitely reminds you the back home taste, and you can clearly see the freshness.
But the couple of annoying things:1. We Indians eat rice , but the amount they providing in Thali is very less, even a 10 year kid need more rice. So each person required extra bowl of rice or paratas or roties. So that is on the top of Thali amount, so all together we will be ended up paying ( $8.99 0r $ 7.99 + $ 3.00) per person. So it will be at least $ 12 per person.
I am feeling that it is worthed eating there, but bit pricy as well. So I am strongly proposing that if other customers feeling the same, we can propose them in some way like customer feedback. Because of extras, i dont want to stop going there. If they acknowledge and accept the proposal, definitely it is going to \" Amma Will ROCK in Mississauga\".
2. Last but not least, Customer Service is not good. They have to maintain smily faces and greeting then only we can enjoy the food.
