Gurus,
My External Hard Disk Has Crashed. It is a 80GB Toshiba-It is totally Dead now. My computer does not recogonise at all. Unfortunately, I had some important files in it. I want to recover them. How to do that? Good Companies in Canada/US charge upto 1000 dollar for that. I can not pay that much. Anybody knows any cheaper option ( Even in Delhi). I will be going to India in couple of month.
Any reference/suggestion??

the best thing to do in my opionion would be to go to best buy , future shop or any computer store and buy an external usb hard drinve enclosure. you can then put ur damaged hard drive in it and try to read it via usb from your comp.
you will have to connect it to a working computer tho.
the external usb casis costs like 50 to 100 $.
unless your hard drive is like super damaged, then of course u will need to big bucks. if it is minor damage then with the external hard drive method you can retrieve all your files.
