Hi All,

I was working in Canada from Jan-2007 to Dec 2007 and then relocated back to India. I want to file the income tax return for 2007. Could please suggest me the best possible way to file the return from India?

PS: As I am filing return first time, can’t use NETFILE.

You can use any software to prepare your return. But, you will have to mail in the forms.

Try ufile.ca

Download this software. Its approved by CRA and allows you to prepare your tax returns online. you just need to tell it upfront what all slips you have like T4, etc and enter the amounts in the boxes and it does the whole taxes for you. Fills out all the appropriate forms n all...
then you can just print it out n send it in with all the slips to CRA.

MAKE SURE YOU KEEP PHOTOCOPY OF everything. every slip. and get a direct deposit in your bank if you expect to get anything back or make an online credit card payment or something if you owe something... too many cheques disappear in India... thats on your own discretion...

Hi

This website does not support tax filing for Quebec residents. Are you aware of any other site that supports Montreal residents?
