The people who are using the hand bombing job have to plug in the dates from the dates that you provide, such as the date of entry and the dates of absence etc., MANUALLY. They are asking you to do it for them to make it easier for themselves. But then, they will give you the credit for the number of days that you were in Canada by entering the dates manually.

The Machine or the web site knows only dates 'prior to' and is looking for the exact dates and probably the same date or ONLY ONE DATE. Then it goes back to that and calculates each period from that date and gives you the credit by itself.

The END RESULTS should be the same. If not there is a discrepancy and you can question them. SIX OF ONE AND HALF A DOZEN OF THE OTHER.

That is what I gather from what you are saying.

That could be a possible answer.
