Hi,

tax season is almost over ...

just trying to compare taxes in usa, uk, canada and australia.

Where would someone earning C$50K pay the least in taxes?

Cheers.

I don't think it's a simple comparison.
There are many factors to take into account and a person's unique situation gives different benefits and drawbacks in each system.
Also, the place of residence has an affect, like in US there are states that don't charge state income taxes.

If you lay out your personal parameters, someone might be able to do a comparison.

What do you mean by Tax season is over - don't we pay taxes the whole year round??

If you were talking about places like Singapore, I could understand that since there is no deduction at source (for salaried employees) and one has to file his taxes and pay them only after the year has finished.

Pratick,
I own a Candian passport.
Which are these US states where there are no income taxes?
I would love to do work on a TN Visa in those states of the USA (Except maybe Alaska)

Peace

For instance, North Dakota, Nevada, Wyoming, etc.
Are you really sure you wanna live there? :p

Correction: North Dakota has state income tax. You can add Texas to the list of states that do not have state income tax.
