Someone posted on charcha, sometime back, about apartments in the US for sale as low as $ 12,000. I have done some research over the internet , and found that there are apartments for sale in Arizona and elsewhere, for as less as $ 25,000. Some of these are foreclosures.
I am seriously considering purchase of one of these properties. Of course, there may be miles to go and much information to be sought, before I actually do so.
That being said, I would appreciate your opinions, views, and what your consider the \"Pros and cons\" of doing so. BTW, I am a Canadian citizen, should that matter.
Thanks in advance, for all your inputs.
I don't think this post applies to FAMILY CLASS???
Arizona and Florida (even Las Vegas) appear to have edge compared to Detroit region from certain aspects. It is an interesting topic and I have some of my friends living in the Miami area who invested just before the boom but eventually have suffered considerably.
My major concern would be ? How to manage such properties remotely ? It it happen to me a multiplex, you could find a management company (need to be reliable).
I hope we could investigate further and share the information through this thread.

Also check the property taxes..although the property is for 25K, the taxes might be based on the assessed value.
All the best!
Vipeen: Many thanks for posting that link about taxes on income from property, applicable to non residents. That is very informative.
Just wondering - if any fellow Desis have experience of purchasing property in the their views and experience.
