Hi ,
I applied for US student visa and the Consular Officer rejected my visa under 212(a)(6)(c)(1). I have been misguided by a consultant and I submitted false bank statement. I repent for the mistake I did. I have very good acdemics and also good work expreience in MNC But I am interested in my higher studies and I am looking for applying to Canada. Can you please tell me whether I have any chances of getting Canadian student visa.
1) Will my US permanent rejection impact my chances opf getting Candian visa?
2) I heard that US and Canada embassies have data sharing and once the Conuslate offcier in Candian embassy enters my passport number he can see my all my previous US rejections and the reasons for rejection . Is it true?
Can you please advise me what I need to do in my situation.
Canadian and US visa offices do not share the information about the rejection. BUT I believe US visa office must have stamped something on your passport that would show that you were denied US visa.
I doubt if they will "officially" share any personal data. But then again, in India, they use third party agencies to do background checks etc. Just like visa appln collection is thru VFS for both, it may be the same agency and they may use the same database. Doubt if you will ever get a clear cut answer.
Anyways, the best way to find out is if you apply for the visa itself. What do you have to loose other than the VISA fees?
As a rule, keep away from all fraud/misrepresentation. It hurts not only you, but other's as well. Any one who went for US consulate in India and also here in Canada will know the difference in approach towards the documents shown/submitted.
Hi Desi #1 and Viggy
Thanks a lot for your reply.
The US visa officer has stamped the date at the back of my paspport and also wrote permanent ineligibility 6 c with a pen on that stamp (Does this mean a red stamp? Please let me know).
So when I go for the Candian student visa interview the Canadian Consulate officer can see that on my passort. So can you tell me how this will affect my chances of getting Canadian studnet visa. Is there any chance after seeing that the Candian consulate officer will give me a visa?
