Hi ! All Desis
No, applying for the visitor/student or any kind of temp visa won't affect the processing of ur PR application.
But the big thing is, that filling of an PR application does affect the temp visa's like student, visitor etc etc.....
it is called "dual intent", and the visa officer knows that the applicant is interested in settling in canada and he/she might not come back to his/her home country if the PR visa got rejected.
this doesn't stop an PR applicant from applying for the temp visa, but the burden is on the shoulder of the applicant to show the following things:-
1) Strong emotional ties to home country
2) financial strong condition
3) no criminal police record
etc..........
If u take my advice, I would not suggest u to apply for visitor visa with ur son, but yes go ahead and apply for his student visa..........ur application for visitor visa will surely affect his chances on student visa. and secondly he is not a kid who needs ur help to settle in canada, if he plans to study here.......there are lakhs of people coming from across the globe without anyone knowing in canada and they establish themselves well in first week itself.
and this is the bull shit excuse a visa officer will hear from the parents, so don't give this excuse to anyone else. he will openly say that, "sir please keep ur kid with u, if u needs a visitor visa to settle him there or u should wait for ur PR case to be processed"
hope this is fine with u, if u have any other enquiry, please feel free to write here.
thank you
