Hi

Anyone travelling on June 16, 2008 in 19:25 flight on Bangalore - Chennai - Toronto flight? If so, please let me know. My mother-in-law is coming for the first time, so if there is a known person it is going to be less stressful.

Also, any idea whether the passengers will be let out into the airport when it stops over at Brussels (I'm assuming this as I have not received the ticket as yet) or does the passengers have to be in the flight itself? This will help us plan

Passengers do change the Airbus ... but its not complicated. JET has made it easier by providing Gates opposite to each other. Come out of the flight ... walk/Belt around the temporary partition to get into next flight.

Passanger come out and right away get in to lines for security check at the airport. Tell your mother-in -law to have a very light carry-on baggage. Also tell her to follow the crowd. However, ones coming out of security there is some wait before boarding the flight to Toronto.

Have some one write a note in English which she can show it to Jet Airways people for assistance.

The Jet Airways people are helpful. Don't panic, just find someone in the plane and it should be ok. Just tell her not to wander too far away from rest of the crowd because they are going to change the plane.

Please provide the Traveler with a card (A small one) with the name, address and a phone number to contact after landing here in Canada. If she ever requires to use it

If possible to acquire a few of the Canadian coins for use, tell her that two of those coins will be required if she wants to use the local phone systems (Quarters) Also provide them with Loonies and Toonies, just in case they want to get one of the Baggage carts for their baggage hauling, at the terminal here in Canada. It will be a great boon to her if some one will show how to use a public pay phone, with only the required numbers, no more no less. It could be just your cell phone here in Canada.

Most of the airlines carry customs and immigration landing cards on their flights. Ask the agent at the booking office to provide you with one or a facsimile there of and fill one for her to carry and some one will help her fill on the flight, just by copying it to the forms.

Please add them to the helpful hints.

Freddie.

You can fill the Canada customs declaration form from the following http://www.cbsa-asfc.gc.ca/E/pbg/cf/e311/e311-eng08-04.pdf so that she can copy it easily.

Flying on Jet is not strain for old people. Airline staff can speak Hindi or Punjabi. They will help in filling the form and other guidance if required.

Book for a wheel chair.

Ask her not to carry any liquid in the hand bag. Security at Brussels will throw it out
