Hello
Myself, & my wifehave gone through the process and all have our PR cards. We have since returned to the UK and we are expecting a baby here in the UK. We want to go back to Canada at the end of the year and I need to add the new baby to our application. Does anyone know how I go about it? I assume there;s some forms and he'll need a medical too ??
Thanks
vijay.
I am sure you will have a Birth Certificate and a Valid British Passport for the infant, prior to applying for the filling of the application to sponsor your New Born Child.
Please read through this guide: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/pdf/kits/guides/3998E.PDF
""The application for permanent residence of persons who are members of the family class may be sponsored. In order to use this application package, you must, with respect to the sponsor, be his or her father or mother.....""
It provides you with details for the Medical clearance,
It provides you with details for Security clearance etc.,
Since this will be a general application for all, please select ONLY the items that you require. The rest do not apply to you. It is a comprehensive guide.
Since you were here in Canada and have the means to access, please contact the nearest Immigrant Help Center. Here is link to one. You can use the phones at your end to get in touch with. :

Freddie - your link is not the right guide/application form for dependant children.
Try this - http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/pdf/kits/guides/3999E.pdf
Also, try this - http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/applications/fc.asp
As a PR, you have to live in Canada to sponsor. Page 14 of the guide states this requirement:
"If I live outside Canada, can I sponsor?
If you are not a Canadian citizen, you cannot sponsor if you live outside Canada. If you are a Canadian citizen, you may sponsor a spouse, a common-law or conjugal partner, or a dependent child who has no dependent child of his or her own. You must live in Canada when the sponsored person becomes a
permanent resident. See How to apply to sponsor."
You may be able to bring the child to Canada on a temporary visa/status. For application purposes, your child will be considered living "outside canada". In other words, when your child receives the imm visa, you will have to process the PR status at a Cdn POE.

many thanks for your reply dimple. So its possible for to bring the child on visitor visa and then apply for PR once we come back to canada??. i heard that it is possible to get visa on airport while arriving???
All the links take you to the <cic.gc.ca> and the link you provided takes you directly to the Family class.
When the child holds a British Passport, it might entitle you to visit Canada without a Visa. Please check the same with the Canadian High Commission when you are ready to travel. Also ask them for the procedures to sponsor te child from with in Canada.
That should help you and can take it up at your end there at London.
Freddie.
Technically, you cannot sponsor a dependant child "from within Canada". Of course, it makes no sense to leave the child behind either. Anyway, it's a matter of semantics.
Yes, as a British passport holder, the child may be able to enter without a stamped visa.
Sponsoring a child is a painless process once you get through all the documentation. Applications are given priority. The steps are, you send all the docs to Mississauga, ON. Once the initial processing is complete, they will forward the application normally to the Cdn consulate of the child's nationality. The consulate will then contact you so you can send the child's passport for immigrant visa stamping.
Once you receive the passport back, you can then drive or fly to the nearest Cdn port of entry and have your child "land" and "enter" Canada as a PR.
The whole process from the time the apps is sent takes about 3 to 5 months.
