My wife is planning to visit india next month with our 5 month old baby. We were just wondering weather should we take baby stroller with us or the airline would have their baby seats. How much tickets we have to pay for infant baby.
Thanks in advance for you replies
Depends on air line.
They have bassinet....no special baby seats. Some airlines provide bassinet on first come first serve basis. some charge for it.
Some airlines charge 10 % of ticket for babies, some dont.
stroller goes with check in luggage.
Thanks

Please take the stroller and also insist on storing it in-flight and not as cargo / check -in baggage. They can keep the stroller inside the flight so you can take it immdly while getting off the plane rather than collecting as baggage.
But you have really insist bcoz they will try to comvince you to put it in baggage as you near the flight door. PLease mention that you want it in the flight and not as baggage.

It is not necessary for the airline to provide a bassinet for every baby on the flight as they carry only a fixed number of bassinets.
To play it safe call up the airline and inform them well in advance that your wife will be flying with a 5 month old baby. Also on the day of the flight try and check-in early for the flight as many airlines give bassinets on a first-come first-serve basis.
My wife travelled 2 months back with my son who was just 6+ weeks at that time through Air-India. Even though we had a bassinet and seat numbers reserved through earlier confirmation, checked in early, on flight she still had problems.
So play it safe and take all necessary precautions.

LIVE LIFE KINGSIZE..........
same thing happened with us in Etihad Airways. Inspite of reconfirming with the airline the day before our scheduled departure, we didnt get any bassinet because that day there were more than 10 new-borns travelling and they have run out of bassinets.
However, after a bit of prodding, they gave us all the four seats in a middle row, which was much better than having a bassinet. So, me, my wife and my baby daughter had a very comfy journey.
Also, their service was very good. They took good care of us.
