We have seen it movies. After all they are movies, imaginary story, most of the time. But in real life, can the siblings be opposite to each other in their nature and behaviour? No one is perfect. But if one is normal, can the other be very different, with both having the same parents.

Oh yes! If you look around you will see that. We get some of our characteristics from our parents/family but a major part also comes from the society we live in. At times it is also circumstantial.
My own sis who was a 'tomboy' before marriage , is now a 'poised sophisticated and elegant lady' wearing saree most of the time and having meticulous attention to details , studying Law to join her hubby n be a helping hand in his law firm after doing Fashion Designing from NIFT Delhi!
My dad and his5 6bother. Dad is a retired Excecutive Engg and his brothers are Priest, Cab driver, retired Chief auditor, Forklift Operator, Agriculturalist. All are extremely different in terms of attitude/behaviour though coming from same parents and same upbringing!!
The point is that a person can change based on what comes his/her way in life !
I'm a twin mommy and can tell you for sure they (siblings) differ! No two humans can be same in character and behaviour. We all are different. One question, are you a single child? Why you asked this?

I have a younger brother who is kind of getting out of control. Not a rebel, but unscrupulous type. My parents used to side with him, may be he is spoilt. Not at this age though. Now they are slowly realizing the truth. I had given few lakhs for his business, never paid me back. He is always upto something, just to fleece my parents. Now they are complaining against him.
Anyways these things never end! I have to accept as it is.
I have seen so many cases like this in my family, relatives and friends.

DIO,
I'm sorry I didn't know it was personal, would not have asked. I’ve seen a similar situation in a family we know. Their two sons are very different from each other. The younger one is responsible and the older one doesn't even know what responsibility is. He is done his Engg (from Florida) and says it was a wrong field/choice for him, he wants to do CPA now (another 2-3 yrs of studies), he's already 24, parents are in wonder what to do with his career and expense ($2000 an average a month). On the other hand younger one did his pharmacy (also from US) all on scholarship at 22 and is working at lab supporting himself, plans to do MBA on scholarship, parents didn’t spend a penny on him.
I think the parents should stop giving financial support to the older and ask him to work and support his own CPA studies. I don’t know what they’ll decide, but if they go ahead and support his fickle mindedness, parents are in trouble forever.
