Hello All,
I seek some suggestions regarding activities for seniors.
My Father-in-law will be visiting us soon and will be staying for 7-8 months. He is not much into temple/gurudwara. He is a retired banker and loves mathematics. Though my kids would keep him busy, still I want to have some tips so that he doesn't get bored.
I have searched CD but couldn't find much !
1. Reading various Indian newspapers and magazines...online....
2. visiting library to read hindi and other indian languages books and magazines available
3. watch indian and other movies from library dvds. or religious like ramayan, kabir, chanakya series etc.
4. listen to very nice music from library...cds, cld be indian / classical/ western/ instrumental.
5. watch various dvds from library that are on various other topics like a) tourist places : europe / etc. b) yoga c) learning computers from basics d) learning language ....dependng on your interest....you might find sthg on maths / customer service ....etc
6. Or listen to tapes from library ...on which one can find various books to listen....
7. temple is not only for darshan but can make various friend there....and can lead to ther activites....seniors group etc.
These are good fun for seniors. If you are in Toronto - would recommend high park and ontario science museum.
