I am not sure if Pakistan - since its independence - has ever been in the news for anything other than all the wrong reasons. Where the heck is it headed anyways? The APAC region's resurgence has been solely led by India and China with contributions from several other nations. While the region is gearing towards world dominance ever so tactfully, Pakistan is still embroiled in a mire of political battles and religious warfare. Future looks all but bleak. Don't people there care anymore? What is their basis for existence?

Here's a thread loaded with negative potential.

From past experience, after a page or two, here is what the discussion will boil down to....

1. India vs. Pakistan (with all kinds of nonsense)
2. Hindus vs. Muslims (with nonsense that will shame the nonsense in #1).

These are sensitive discussions that CAN be had maturely, but almost always veer off-path and are counter-productive to a forum like charcha. So as I have in the past, I'm going to lock the thread now before it gets uglier.
