Well, now, you are going to tell me that 9/11 was a Mossad job. Sounds very educated though. Infact, I was at the Canadian Army HQ at the time of attack and my Egyptian colleague was 100% sure about The Mossad Hand ;-)
What is going on with the Minorities in Islamic countries around the world, for ex., Bangladesh, Pakistan, Afghanistan, etc. Beheadings of Kafirs, if they don't convert - Blowing up of Bamian Buddhas - etc - etc...the long list never ends.
Dude, delete 'every' mention of 'Kafir' in Quran (wherever it is).
Take my word, 'Islamic Terrorism' will instantly get converted to 'Universal Brotherhood and Tolerance', like a magic.

Nightmare and icecube: No one has a problem co-existing with Islam, as a religion. In fact other religions have co existed for over a thousand years...... that said, everyone has an issue with the VIOLENCE that ANY religion brings - be it Islam or any other religion.
If you believe that we have to co-exist with the violence in Islam, I have nothing to say except that - the world is not going to stay dumb and let violence take over their daily lives. If someone here believes that violence is here to stay, and that is the sign of power, people are going to fight it (they don't have a choice).
So for heaven's sake stop parroting the theory about how Islam will "take over" the world. We have heard it before. I don't know how many of us will be around till then. The question is about VIOLENCE IN ISLAM, AND NOT ISLAM ITSELF (unless you believe they are inseparable). Also let us not talk about what will happen 10 years down the line. It is about TODAY.

Isn't there violence preached in the Bible? Why single out Islam?

I find Nightmare's post to be funny ... since Islam is going to rule the world .. we must learn to co exist with it ... in other words bow to it ....

Hemzer - No other religion expects you to pray 10 times a day and visit the places of worship every week and in those worship places , gives fiery speeches against other people / religion / cultures ..... inciting the crowd ......

World & the human civilization has to be tolerant in order to co exist .....
Has anybody watched Kurbaan ? .... You can see the fanaticism there ....
As for Pakistan / Afghanistan ... no offense meant , they are on a path of self destruction and I pray that good sense prevails on the potential suicide bombers . I sympathise with all the Pakistani people who have lost lives / relatives in the mindless bombings ..... Come on .... innocent humans do not deserve to die like this ...

You bet ... it sure would ... Unfortunately a good majority of the book talks of 'kafirs' more than about its own followers laying down diktats for dominance and control of the human civilization by violence , force or otherwise ...
A person can have 4 wives , there s no birth control concept ( per the religion birth control is prohibitive ) .... kafirs / non believers in Islam should be killed and on doing that you are granted a high place by the Almighty .............
All these and more are nothing but a doctrine to grow , control other religions , dominate them and make only one world --- that of Islam .....
And the devout believers who are bombing themselves and others are just following the diktats .... ignoring the virtues of universality , co existence and brotherhood of man .....
