"Who are employed by Crown corp.? Whites! Their recruitment is totally non transparent and Desi never get called for interview. If at all Desi get called, he is offered clerical job. I understand that in private companies, who u know is important, but Crown corp. financed by tax payers can not recruit on basis of "who u know". "
That is not true. I work in a crown agency at a non clerical position ( in IT) and I am not white. I got the job through a recruitment agency. I see lots of Chinese, west Indian people working there too along with Indians and whites.

Why recruitment agency? Why not some competitive test? Do u classify Chinese as Desi? Chinese are most united people in Canada. I did say " Who u Know" not just whites. Just recruit one Chinese and u will be flooded within couple of years. Pl do not misunderstand. I admire their sense of brotherhood. What abt Desi? My tax money used against me? There is a reason and purpose of recruiting in non transparent manner. This is TRULY Rip OFF country

Is it fair to assume you came here of your own accord and you were not part of some covertly smuggled immigrants that got embroiled in a deplorable scheme of ancient slavery?
I just am attempting to understand how one can make an educated decision (a HUGE assumption here, with oodles of benefit of doubt) to come to Canada and then cry a river about how bad this country is...

Just because I migrated on my own does not disenfranchise me from expressing my opinion. It is precisely that my tax money is misused that I am voicing my opnion. U seem to have slave menatlity of not raising voice aginst the master. May be it suits u and u amply desrve that.
If the system is broken, if it is working against me, I have all the right. If u have any logical answer, reply otherwise keep yr dim witted post to yourself.
Try applying for TTC, Toronto City ,Canada post, VIA rail or Ontario Hydro, if u have any professional education and then share yr experience.

I may not agree with all your points, but definetly agree that the system tends to work against those that do well.
I pay taxes which are partially used to fund the OSAP program. However, since I make money over a certain bracket and since I drive a car that's worth more than $5K (in OSAP's own words), I or my daughter or anybody in my family would never qualify for an OSAP "loan" - yes, not even free handout but a lousy loan.
So wtf am I paying taxes for? To send other people's kids to college? Socialism sucks only because it takes away the individual's incentive to do well for themselves.
Anyways, the way I see it, my taxes are really a "rent payment" to the Canadian Govt, to let me stay here until the time I have my citizenship - whose real benefit again (to me) would be across the border

Absolutely. You have the right words. But first you have to fight and convince a section of people who in the first place do not think there is a problem. This thread itself is evident of that fact.
