Like you - a Canadian .. but still DESI

Did you try applying to those numerous employment agencies in Mississauga and Downtown? They normally take typical clerical and computer proficiency tests and give you temp assignments.

That is how I landed up my first job. I used to go agency to agency handing out my resume. A lady was kind enough to check my knowledge in excel and data entry. I did number of such short term assignments from few hours to few months.

I assume that u r in toronto or outskirts.

Unless any desi hires u to start with there is no go for you. I suggest u to find other parts just out of toronto area or GTA.

It all depends where u r located and u need to give more info for our desi friends to help u more.
