If I were in deciding place, I wont hesitate to hire desis. Merit/Talent is a criteria never to miss out... meaning... I wont hire a desi, just bcos he/she is a desi. At the same time, I wont avoid them, just bcos they are desi.

Please clarify abt desis. Does it include desis who have become Canadian citizens?
If that is the case, I have hired one, long timer in Canada (has some behavioural issues, can't hold a job for more than a year).
Got jobs for two more (immigrant status) with another employer since there was no opening with us at that time. One was let go after three months due to language problem. The other one is still there having a good time.

I am ready to recruit another Indian . To me the nationality does not matter. As long as the person is qualified and demands reasonable salary, I am okay with it . In Fact I have referrered a couple of Indians in my company and they have also got jobs .
To me Nationality does not matter in a +ve or a Negative way ..
