Fruits and vegetable import from India

My elder brother has a gala in APMC market Mumbai. Since he is already into business of fruits and vegetable over there, there is an interest in exporting the same over here. How difficult is it to get the distributors for such commodity? How does the market work? I know for sure that I need to first of all work on export and import licenses and other govt formalities but not sure about the demand and overall market. Has anyone distributed this here in Canada as well to US?
Any suggestions/opinions are appreciated.

Except mangoes, you won't find any demand for Indian Fruits.
Nowadays, even mangoes are coming from Egypt and other parts of Africa.
