Free Santa Claus parade.
May be CD's can fix a place in the parade and we can all meet. I will be coming using a subway.
If any CD can tell where we can see the parade without much obstruction by people, it would be much appriciated.

How is the weather going to be ?
I love to see the Big Bands and the Bag Pipes. Catch Candies in the air, See all of the colourful floats, Blown up Bean Bags and of course what are we there for !! Crawl through the underground maze and thaw out for a few minutes. What a thrill to see the kids scream when the big guy in the Red Suit get hauled by the Red nosed reindeer and turn the corners. YEP that brought the kid in me too, till the BIG bills appear. Then I am back to reality. Yep, we know who Santa Claus is..... and the parade is just for the kids. I am one that day.
Here is the Route that they have provided us with this year.

The best place I always found to be, was at the Corner of University Avenue and Queen (Osgoode that is) and/or Queen and Yonge. Both Corners are good. Get to see them a little longer at the corners.
What is the weather? *Shiver my timbers ! Who cares! The wind tunnel effects at these big buildings are murder.

A VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS.

HI FTFL :
The parade starts at 12.30 so what time you think it will be at Osgoode ?
I care abt the weather as my son catches cold very quick and then I have to take days off work which I can not do any more. And of course he suffers too.
Being north of the lake, you might see a few of those flurries. Also it is a good practice to doll the kids up, as they will be anxiously waiting for the parade and floats to pass by and it might take a minimum of Two good hours. Some of them even fall asleep. It is hard on them.
I have seen a few of the kids in Prams and kiddie carts right in front of the pavement, way before the Parade even gets started at CHRISTIE. A few of them sitting in front of the carts, forming their own line. Some of the TV stores even put the live show on their shop TV for the people to see when it gets started, for those who are standing in the back of the line.
Have you ever heard of "Shot-a-Packs" ? Well... we are not there yet. They are just the freezees, for the BIG Kids. A picnic blanket will do this year.
Ho Ho Ho. And a....b...r
Freddie.
Based on past experience, can someone confirm : Is it ok to assume it will be at Osgoode around 4 p.m. ?
Please use this only as a guide line.
Toronto Santa Claus Parade - Best Viewing Locations:
Anyplace along the route will allow spectators a view of the parade; however, arrive early if you want a front row spot. People begin arriving along the route and setting up chairs as early as 10 am.
Keep in mind that watching the parade near the beginning of the route allows you to leave earlier, so spots along Bloor and at the top of University fill up more quickly.
Spectators who are on Yonge Street or Front Street, closer to the end of the route will have to wait for the parade -- about one hour for the parade to reach its end at Front & Church.
So, arrive at any intersection early enough to see and then go home.
Be there.
