Atleast two of my friends have found their cars damaged in the recent days. One drives a BMW and lives in Lansing, MI. Last weekend his car had his glasses broken, windshield smashed and was sprayed on the sides "BUY AMERICAN".

The second drives and Audi and lives in Scarborough and had gone to a strip mall in Oshawa. His four tires were knifed. No damage to the car or nothing was stolen. No message was left behind.

Take care and park carefully if you drive an Import!.

Maybe we should start branding autoworker's cars with stuff like "Get off your lazy asses and actually do some real work!!!" :D

Jeez, some of these guys have education barely enough to flip hamburgers and get paid more than double of what University grads make :cuss:

I have many friends in Michigan and have heard of many such stories before. Truly dumb stuff isn't it?

The scarborough incident seems like a random act. Unless the whole of GTA is seeing a trend, your call to be careful if driving an import is hardly warranted.

DT,
when you replied to Vanthemadaram's post, I thought that it must have been your BMW's car tire that was slashed in Lansing... Now I know that it is not your car.
On a more serious note, I am wondering if you are living in Indian mentality or the NA mentality.
Here in NA, Manual labour is the king. Any thing which requires hard physical labour is paid more, b'cos we just donot have enough people to do it. I know of Architects and Engineers working in their professional lines (at entry level) for $8-$12 an hour and you know about the volunteer program.
Much as I hate excess salaries shelled out, I prefer my $13.50 an hour job sitting in an AC cabin with access to the internet to $30 an hour screwing bolts into a car 8 hours continuous a day. !

To Vandematharam : Canada has always been a very tolerant country and we have not yet come to a stage where the locals consider immigrants as competition or job grabbers and hence these are just random statistics and foul mouthing of Desi's saying that they were targetted. I canot comment about USA as I donot have much knowledge about that society.

Peace by Tk

This is not real news. It is just a Urban legend or Myth. Usually it happens to a friend or a friends friend.

This news is the same as the myth of Crocodiles in New York sewers.

No one will do it in a parking lot because of the closed circuit TV cameras.
