I fully agree with your comments until I read this statement. This is very sad and pray no one should see this day.

I am not advocating war but what comes to my mind is Kargil.
Had India not fought that war, Kargil/Drass region would have been under our 'Beloved neighbour's' control.
We have also seen all that solution of IMF cutting aid, economic embargo, UN etc does not workout for political reasons or other reasons that I may not be aware of.
Help me understand what India should have done if not war?

Thats called collateral damage . This pic is true but a small part in the bigger picture. I m sure there must ve been casualties on the Israeli side also on account of Hamas .....

I am sorry for bringing this again .... independent of who is right and who is wrong , I was shocked to read the solidarity expressed by Muslims from around the world even those from India / Pak esp after the Friday prayers ..striking sticks on the ground in huge crowds ... at one place a leader has pledged to send 10 lacs people if Govt permits.............. I wonder what sermons are passed during these Friday prayers .

At the risk of being termed racist , I have observed that these people transcend national / regional boundaries when it comes to religions .... which is a worrisome trend and evident by killings in the name of 'religion' and 'jihad' ............. not all , but most ..... there were no such powerful demonstrations as an aftermath of Mumbai carnage and............. this is the only religion which goes on to such extents of brotherhood and solidarity (with in the religion) across the Globe ......

Perhaps India would have been different , had it been a Hindu state at the time of Constitution ........ hardly any other religion shows such fanaticism .....

I beg apologies from the educated people of the community who do not believe in such fanaticism.

I am so sad to see those pictures, regardless of Nationality, Religion and/or Race.

My hands were shivering while seeing those pictures of three children.

My newborn SON is of same age as one of those in the picture. Constantly, my eyes giving the signal as if (GOD forbid) I was seeing myself as father and my SON as one of the children in the picture.

I know those are not my pictures, but just imagine, if only a picture can make me shiver, than what the real father must be going through ? ?

No matter, if you see those three children as Palestinian children or Israeli children. They are childrens, we are human beings, and we all share this EARTH.

Why so much hate and blood sheds all around the world ? ?

NOTE: I would highly appreciate to all those, to stay away from replying this post, who circulate hate usually.

And you think this post is not politically right.

I am not seeing three dead Palestanian children.

I am not seeing three dead Israeli children.

I am looking at 3 dead children and a grieving Father.

Do we get the point now?

I am not disagreeing with you or writing this with contempt. Just want to convey the intent of this particular post.

Totally agree with you but since your link led to this headline "PALESTINIANS-ISRAEL/SHELLING" above the pictures, I couldnt help absorbing a subtle message between the lines.

What do people like us do when killing is an accepted form of moving one's agenda forward?

Women, children and the aged are considered "collateral damage" the rest of them are termed "terrorists"

Madeleine Albright was asked this question with regards to the effect of sanctions against Iraq:

"We have heard that half a million children have died. I mean, that's more children than died in Hiroshima. And, you know, is the price worth it?"

Albright replied: "I think this is a very hard choice, but the price, we think the price is worth it."

These are the words of a so called prominent person of our society.
It saddens me.
