Citizenship communication

I applied for citizenship on October 15,2008.I did not receive any communication till date on the same from CIC.Please let me know when I would receive any communication .

I applied a week before you... I called CIC they told me to expect any communication from them sometime in FEB.09

Yes you are right. It takes upto 4-5 months now to get initial acknowledgement letter. It has been almost 5 months for me since I applied and so far I have not received the letter but the online status shows application received since last 2-3 weeks. Hope this helps.

Yes you are right. It takes upto 4-5 months now to get initial acknowledgement letter. It has been almost 5 months for me since I applied and so far I have not received the letter but the online status shows application received since last 2-3 weeks. Hope this helps.

Here is the link. You can check your status by entering your client ID (8 digit number on your PR card) and some other info.

Thanks.I checked on line but nothing is showing.No response.
