Hi,

I applied for Canadian citizenship from Waterloo,ON in April and I received the acknowledgement letter in August saying that 'A CIC Office will inform you of the date/time of the test, interview or ceremony'.

What is the next process? Will I receive the test information and when can I expect that? I have a Medical emergency to travel overseas for a month.

when did you applied? when did you received aknolgement letter from citizenship canada?

I belive you will have to wait at least one year from the date of receied your file to citizenship canada. I heard form my couple friends that the go though alphabetical order of your name or last name. you will recieved letter for your citizenship test befor two week it will schedule.

it is smart way to keep all your travel documents update as you never know when it will needed. i do that way for my family. as we heard form friends some time there is a dealy from citizenship canada.
