Hi All
I am looking for ideas from other CD's on how to create a home mandir out of a small room. I know I can go out and buy a small 'mandir', but we would like to convert one entire room into a mandir/meditation room.
Does anyone have one in their home, or have suggestions on what kind of table they found to be the most suitable? We have 1-1.5ft high statues and want to use one wall space and leave the rest open to sit.
Thanks in advance!!

Hi,
I was looking for small mandir and found your post so made my account to aswer you though I know you might have done something by now as your question was posted a year back. Well, I had a same kind of mandir at my previous house in one corner and It was very big, beautiful and grand though it occupied only small corner of the house. I hanged red Mata Chunri like wall paper on both the corner walls in vertical manner. Our mandir was on small diagonal table, but then we could sit in room taking much space or invite anyone and the whole room might look like mandir whereas when not using mandir I had a trasparent pink colour curtain covering the whole corner and the room was used to work/sit/study or else. The best idea would be using Mata Chunri long ones if you have..if you dont hv them you can also use other chunris as well but make sure they should be clean. This is my first post so dont know how to attach photo or else I would have shown you my mandir in my old house. Now, Actually from past one year I am looking for Beautiful Shiv Parvati Statue for my mandir, If I find that then I wont buy mandir else I will buy mandir for which I am looking for options..Though i like the one in the room's corner.
Good Luck!

Thanks for the responses! Initially we decided to dedicate our smallest spare bedroom to a Mandir. Even though we know its not a great idea to move it, we decided it felt too out of the way, we wanted it in the main part of the house. So we had a large wide bookshelf in the upstairs hallway which we have created the mandir on. Now its right in front and it feels right
