As we all know and SOME do acknowledge that we have some serious problems with our education system. Following articles would give you some snap shots of our education system's condition. Being in Canada I do feel and face this systems on day to day basis. For those who are going to immigrate to Canada, these articles would give some sense of what they are going to face:

http://www.ocasc.ca/committees/ocasc_secondary_schools_com/content/double_cohort/double_cohort_students_at_risk.pdf

Further, Mathematics in Ontario is bit different when it comes to ratio between population and number of schools. Normally when population increases, number of schools also increase accordingly but in Ontario population is increasing at fast pace ( thanks to phenomenal flow of immigrants into Ontario) and Government of Ontario is closing down schools ( 30 schools in only Toronto City, if I am not wrong). The result of this mess : very large size of classes ( 42 students in a class in some cases), over worked and frustrated teacher as they can not teach these huge classes properly… and so on. For more details on the situation please read a detailed document at following link :

http://www.campaignforpubliceducation.ca/pdfs/chaos.pdf
http://www.yorku.ca/gtaforum/presentations/GTA-Basu-18-10-01.doc

I will try to arrange some more articles on these issues.

Thanks and regards.

From my struggle for even labour jobs, I felt that far too many people are entering Toronto and GTA than needed. Even though Mississauga and Brampton have thousands of factories and warehouses, it is difficult to find job. For labour job, there is so much competition! That is why agencies and companies are able to play games with new immigrants!
