I once made a mistake, but I was wrong about it.
Well it is a buisness just like the immigration consultants who charge tons of money to do nothing more than submit applications.
In fact I have seen ads like this in several newpapers in India.
These businesses succeed because there are suckers who fall for this, and there never was nor ever will be a dearth of suckers in this world.
Ek dhoondo, hazaar miltey hein!
What I didn't like was this guy posting it in the wrong section, and then spraying a whole bunch of assreek all over the place!!

The Cynic
Thanks a lot everyone for your feedback and unbiased judgement on the subject. It is indeed unfortunate that you would not allow someone who is a genuine consultant to offer his or her services in the open marketplace.
Let me put forward a couple of points that I feel may offer some insight into this; firstly, what do consultants do, they merely offer a service that is to facilitate an activity for an individual or entity. Why do organizations go and their organizational activities accomplished by paying millions of dollars to companies such as Boston Consulting, Delloitte, Accenture, etc. Think about it, and be honest, Consulting is nothing more or less. If everyone could do everything in this world, then there wouldn't really be any specializations, any value added services, or any employment for that matter.
You are absolutely correct that this can be done yourself, yet if you look at it statiscally, an individual will find out the process, complete the application, attempt to get a visa, identify the right courses, etc., and spend much more time than individuals or consultants such as myself who are familiar with the process, the intricacies, the details, and can advise students to make the right choices and follow the right path.
I completely understand your apprehension, yet rather than going right out and painting all consultants with the same paintbrush, it may be worth your effort to differentiate individuals and companies from one another.
Finally, I'd like to say that I am not charging a processing fees to begin with; the student is not paying a penny out of his or her pocket. Where do you think they can go wrong? I could charge hundreds and thousands of dollars to process the application, yet I have chosen not to do so. I offer to assist the students in making the right choice of institution, get their paperwork and applications complete, do the formalities for admission in Toronto, Canada, and thereafter consult on the Visa process. Once the student arrives in Canada, I pick them up at the airport, ensure that their accomodation for the initial month or so is arranged, provide them with invaluable local information about transportation, surroundings, government formalities and much more. Now you can say they can do it themselves; yet let me ask you something, when a student arrives at the airport and there is no one to receive him, or if there is, then they are merely transported to a place to stay with no detailed assistance to settle into their new home, how do you think they feel...I think lost! So if I can offer my services to them, I believe there is nothing wrong in that.
You may ask how do I get compensated, well the academic institution will pay me for doing what I do; not the student.
Nonetheless, I felt it was definitely my place to respond to immaterial accusations about my services, and I have done so. Further I'll apologize for putting it up in the wrong place, will be careful the next time around.
Thanks for reading!!
Whatever you say sounds great, except it was posted in wrong place.
Extra-sensitivity about commercial posts is understandable, as it keeps this site going strong.
As for the 'free' service - if you can make money genuinely helping people nothing to beat it!
Best of Luck.
