Hi all,
I am Permanent Resident since March 2005 and I came here on skilled based category. I applied for citizenship in Sept 2008 and appeared in citizenship test on june 2009 after that i have receive RQ.
I mailed all the requested documents and waiting for there reply, however nothing is being updated on the online application status since june 2009.
When i was appeared for the exam, citizenship officer in mississauga asked me where i am working and why i have changed 6 address since 2005 ?
i told him that since i was living on rent , i can change if i don't not like the place.
Citizenship officer said it is not good changing 6 address in 3 year.
Citizenship officer asked me did you travel since you become PR ?
i told them No as i was not travelled.
Citizenship officer asked me why i did not applied for citizenship for my spouse and son ?
i told him that my spouse and son arrived after me and did not completed 3yrs yet . will apply when completed 3 years.
Please tell me why ? and how long ? when next goning to happen ?

I think they will reject citizenship or take futher inquery about you and your family.

It is better when such questions are answered, that a basis for your statement be made.
The RQ means that they had some questions about whether you are eligible for citizenship or not. Possibly frequent moves and your applying alone may be factors.
If you have provided information on the RQ that satisfies them, you will get a letter to go for the oath. Most likely, it is going to go to a point where you will be asked to go meet a citizenship judge.
You should consider this a normal process and not be alarmed. Prepare for that interview as you did for the test, and carry all documents you sent with the RQ, and answer truthfully as you did earlier. Then the judge will decide where this may go.
The time that the aplication will now take for processing will be longer, so be patient. You could try calling their call centre, sometimes they can give more up to date information than your online status shows.

I too am in a similar situation.
In my case I applied in nov 07, gave test in sep 08, got rq in may and still waiting.
the officer in mississuaga, wanted to know why my dubai visa was not cancelled, she showed one employment visa of 1998 which showed CANCELLED and other visaf which didnot have that stamp. I told her it is cancelled but just that they did not stamp it, in any case it valid only till 2007 .
She did not understand all that..
Anyway I am in no hurry.

That person is just doing his job. That department is scrutinizing each application, or atleast randomly picked few applications. Bad luck or coincidence, it happened to be your application.
I don't think your application can be rejected based on the questions/answers that you mentioned. Simply seems almost impossible. But yes, if any connection between you and any illegal activity/person can be proved, yes in that case the approval possibility could be reduced.
His questions were valid. And your answers did raised few more questions. 6 moves in 3 years and alone applicant from the family. Yes, that's no easy thing to digest.
But don't worry. If you are "clean" then you don't have to worry about anything. It's just a matter of time. A regular process of 15 months might take 24 months for you. No big deal. Don't worry.
Thanks for the questions. Now, in future, if I am asked such question I'll be prepared with valid and polite answers. (Well, yes, my first move was closer to my work, 2nd was close to my relatives, 3rd saved me $50, 4th well had dishwasher in apt..... that's better than just saying "Hey, I'm free why can't I move 6 times in 3 years?"
I received a letter asking for 2 photo-ids. BTW, the driver license copy that I submitted along with my application was just 3-4 months short of expiry. Could that be the reason?
Either way, if these type of question/queries/delay makes this world a safer place to live, I'm fine with that delay.
