I signed up with Acanac on August 22 for internet service for 1 yr and paid them the one year fee of $227.40. On August 31 I cancelled the service since I joined some other provider and asked Acanac for a refund. They kept telling me that the refund was issued but after checking my credit card statement online I found that the refund was not issued till today. I sent them several reminders inbetween but kept getting the response that the refund was issued.

Finally I decided to dispute their initial charge on my credit card. What other recourse do I have? You can only contact them by email and even at that their customer service is poor.

So if you are considering Acanac please be careful of this company.

There is a Acanac rep in RFD forum. Try to contact her via PM and see if she can help in getting you the refund. Also remind them of the 30 day moneyback policy.

Why you cancelled with Acanac? have you get better connection with cheaper price or what? Please share it if you do not have problem. B'cos i heard the cheaper high speed internet is only acanac, but not sure.

I was with 3 web but was having problems with my connection so the guy from Bell told me that 3 web did not have good dsl service and thats why I need to switch providers. So I switched and gave that reason to 3 web and they came to my place and checked everything and gave me a new modem and things worked well after that so I decided to stay with them because I have been with them for over 2 years now. Hence I cancelled Acanac

The Acanac Customer Service # is on their website. They are available by phone too on Customer and Technical support. They are only on email after hours. (Speaking from experience).

I signed up for ACANAC and cancelled it within a week and went back to Rogers.

The reason being the DSL being of poor quality as provided by BELL

I went personally to their office in Mississauga near Dixie/Dundas and got the refund within 15 days

I did not have any problem with refund.
